Obituary

Frederick "Fred" Francis Reinkemeyer, age 88, of Henley, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021, at Good Shephard Care Center in Versailles.  He was born in Argyle on July 15, 1933, son of the late William and Anna (Hilke) Reinkemeyer.  On August 9, 1958, in Meta, Fred was united in marriage to Betty Huhman, who survives at their home.

Fred honorably served in the United States Army from July 23, 1953, to June 9, 1955, receiving the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal.  He retired from ABB Factory in Jefferson City after years of dedicated employment.  Fred enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and was an avid baseball fan.  He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church.

In addition to his loving wife of 63 years, Betty Reinkemeyer, he is also survived by his children, Mary "Annie" (Kenny) Green, Katie McMillin (Ted Ellsworth), David (Karen) Reinkemeyer, Darlene (Randy) Oliver, and Karen Sue (Nick) Kempker; grandchildren, Chad, Nick, Jennifer, Stacia, Curtis, Ashley, Nathan, Brad, and Brittany; 14 great-grandchildren with one on the way due May of 2022; sister, Delores Larson; and three sisters-in-law, Rita Reinkemeyer, Mary Jane Reinkemeyer, and Rosella Reinkemeyer; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; six siblings, Clarence Reinkemeyer, Vincent Reinkemeyer, Laura Knight, James Reinkemeyer, Helen Schaefer, and Florence "Hootie" Owens; three brothers-in-law, C.W. "Joe" Knight, Charlie Schaefer, and Richard Owens; son-in-law, William McMillin; and his grandson, Jordan Oliver.

A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
