Gabriele "Gabby" Strickland, age 76, of Iberia, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023. She was born in Coberg, Germany, on October 2, 1946, daughter of the late Otto and Nellie (Smit) Boge. On September 4, 1972, in Dillon, South Carolina, Gabby was united in marriage to Jerry Wayne Strickland, who survives at their home.

Gabby was the definition of kindness, always putting everyone's needs above her own. She adored horses and dogs of all kinds and loved her family unconditionally, especially her grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother. Gabby was a faithful member of Mt. Gilead Church.

In addition to her husband, Jerry, she is also survived by one daughter, Michelle Choat and husband Dusty; and two grandchildren, Savannah Burd and girlfriend Bobby Jo and Shane Choat.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two siblings.

Gabby's final wishes were to be cremated. No services are planned at this time.
