Gail R. Scott, age 74, of Iberia, passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2012, at Camdenton Windsor Estates in Camdenton. He was born in Linn Creek on January 20, 1938, son of the late Pete Scott and Verbra (Shipman) Clark. On April 25, 1959, in Miami, Oklahoma, Gail married Mary Jane Scherf, who survives at the home.
He is also survived by one daughter, Johna Stites and husband Robert of Brumley; two grandchildren, Jessica Stites of Waynesville and Jerrick Stites of Camdenton; and seven great-grandchildren, Dalton, Daniel, Hannah, Dunkn, Haylee, Preston, and Peyton.
Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 22, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Larry Denny will officiate. Interment with military honors under the direction of the Iberia VFW Post 6167 and American Legion Post 105 will be held in Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
