Garry Colvin, age 69, of Iberia, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. He was born in Miller County on January 8, 1946, son of the late Sterlin and Glee (Witt) Colvin. On May 29, 1964, in Crocker, Garry married Patricia "Trish" Elaine Williams, who preceded him in death on January 31, 2006.
Garry enjoyed coyote hunting and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of Montreal Church of Christ.
He is survived by two sons, James "Scooter" Colvin and wife Lori and Paul Colvin and wife Rachel; two daughters, LeAnn "Maggie" Witt and husband Gerald and Marsha Wyrick and husband Willie, all of Iberia; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Tim Colvin & wife Cindy of Iberia; two sisters, Joyce Rodden and husband Bud of Brumley and Gloria Lenox of Eldon; and his mother-in-law, Ruby Stark of Eldon.
In addition to his parents and loving wife, Trish, he was also preceded in death by two grandsons, Jared Witt and Collin Colvin and one infant brother, Jimmy Dale Colvin.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 (noon), with services immediately following at 12 p.m., on Saturday, January 9, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Jim Franklin and Pastor Tim Anna will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Garry Colvin Memorial Fund.
