Obituary

Gary William Armstrong, age 67, of Meta, passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021, at his home. He was born in St. Louis on June 22, 1954, son of the late Raymond and Irene (Hasty) Armstrong.

Gary had a passion for music and was an extremely talented musician and songwriter. He was a proud member of the country band, Shiloh, and served as the band's soundman for many years. Gary never knew a stranger and he loved spending time with his family at their cabin on the Osage River.

He is survived by his son, Joe Armstrong of Arizona; sister, Donna Nunn of Jefferson County; and numerous family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Mike Armstrong and Raymond Armstrong Jr. and his sister, Lonna Howland.
