Genevieve C. Branch, age 78, of Meta, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2017, at St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City. She was born in Meta on December 27, 1938, daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Marie (Schaffer) Scheulen. On December 3, 1955, Genevieve married William Price Branch, who preceded her in death in 2013.

Genevieve was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Babbtown.

She is survived by five children, Warren Branch and wife Vicki of Grove Spring, Debra Barnett and husband Ricky of Falcon, Larry "Pint" Branch of Jefferson City, Darrell "Bo" Branch and girlfriend Renee of Meta, and Kevin "Corky" Branch of Jefferson City; two daughters-in-law, Denise Branch of Brinktown and Elaine Branch of Taos; 25 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; eight siblings, Geraldine Berry and husband Gerald, Raymond Scheulen and wife Sherry of Montana, Jeannette Ripka of Meta, Daniel Scheulen and wife Donna of Meta, Dianna Schubert and husband Ron of Meta, Linda Pace and husband David of Holts Summit, Richard Scheulen of Meta, and Melvin Scheulen and wife Beverly of Meta; one sister-in-law, Donna Kay Scheulen of Jefferson City; and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Scheulen, two sons, Marcus Branch and Jerry "J.B" Branch, and one grandson, Travis Barnett.

Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Babbtown. Pastor Gerald Scheperle will officiate. Interment will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Lowery-Franklin Cemetery near Lebanon.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 17, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Meta.
