Gerald Dennis Berry, age 83, of Dixon, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024, at Jefferson City Manor Care Center.  He was born on November 30, 1940, son of the late Winford and Minnie (Boyd) Berry.  On December 29, 1984, Gerald was united in marriage to Geraldine Scheulen, who survives.

Gerald had an unwavering work ethic, working at the Lodge of Four Seasons Golf Course and in the lumber industry.  He had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and trapping.  Gerald loved working in his garden and cutting wood.

In addition to his loving wife, Geraldine Berry, he is also survived by his children, Gerald Berry, Jr., Steve (Denise) Berry, and Lisa (Tom) Woodworth; stepchildren, Michael (Mary) Frazier, Greg (Ruth) Frazier, and Tim (Pat) Frazier; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Stith and infant son, Michael Berry; and step-granddaughter, Brittany Jeffries.

A Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 24, at Union Cemetery in Iberia with Manuel Seaton officiating.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, September 23, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
