Geraldine "Gerry" Witt, age 77, of Brumley, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. She was born in Iberia on March 31, 1939, daughter of the late John and Gladys (Colvin) Pemberton. On May 25, 1957, in Tuscumbia she married Donald James Witt, who preceded her in death on June 28, 1996.

Geraldine was an avid gardener and loved flowers. She was a member of Mt. Union Church of Christ near Brumley.

She is survived by two daughters, Becky Whittle and husband Mark of Brumley and Kathy Callahan and husband David of Roach; one son, Mike Witt and Shawna of Brumley; nine grandchildren, Amy Halley, Megan Murray, Heather Eidson, Amber Rowden, Austin Witt, Mason Witt, Madison Barnfield, Makenzie Witt, and Mercedes Witt; 25 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Alice Wall of Iberia, Linda Duncan, of Iberia, Evelyn Moneymaker of Brumley, and Joretta Rodden of Brumley; and one brother, Darrell R. Pemberton of Iberia.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Dorsey Pemberton and Lester Pemberton; and one sister, Erma Luttrell.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m., with services immediately following at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 1, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Ralph Byrd will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley.
