Gladys E. Musick, age 87, died Friday, April 18, 2008, in Tuscumbia. She was born in Henley on October 9, 1920, a daughter of the late Jasper and Blanche (Hoskins) Scott. On April 24, 1937, she was married to Elmer L. Musick, in Tuscumbia, who preceded her in death on February 7, 1997.
Gladys was a member of the Mt. Zion Christian Church. She enjoyed making quilts, cooking and helping others. Her family and friends were her life.
She is survived by her two sons, Charles A. Musick and wife Carol of Tuscumbia and Dink Musick and wife Paula of Spring Garden; nine grandchildren, Vicki Holmes and husband Greg, Jeff Musick and wife Donna, Stephani Leverich and husband Tom, Tim Musick and wife Joyce, Teresa Blanchard and husband Warren, Sean Musick and wife Diane, Lacy Eddington and husband Ron, Melanie Foley and husband Jim and Michele Kempker and husband Doug; two step-grandchildren, John Stout and wife Lisa and Kimberly Humphreys and husband Marshall; 19 great grandchildren; 10 step-great grandchildren; two sisters, Juanita Grady of Iberia and Lorene Huff and husband Orris of Pleasant Hill and numerous nieces and nephews.
Two sons, Curtis L. Musick and Conley C. Musick; one sister, Geraldine Amos, and one brother, Wayne Allen Scott, also preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 21, at Mt. Zion Christian Church near Tuscumbia. Minister Charlie Worstell will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday at Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon.
