Gloria Mary (Espinosa) Lumpkins, age 81, of Iberia, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021, at her home. She was born in Merced, California, on May 4, 1939, daughter of the late Constantino and Carmen (Garcia) Espinosa. On August 17, 1969, in Las Vegas, Gloria was united in marriage to William Lumpkins, who preceded her in death.

Gloria was a woman of faith and was a devoted member of First Baptist Church in Pulaski, TN. Gloria was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She never met anyone she did not like. She was always supportive of her family and involved in what her kids and grandchildren did. She loved being outdoors gardening or just watching her grandchildren play. She enjoyed watching soap operas and old movies. Gloria loved listening to music and dancing when she could. She led a wonderful life and will be missed.

She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Mesnage of Athens, AL, and Debra Gruber (Matt) of Iberia; nine grandchildren, Sarah Paszkiewicz (Ryan) of Imperial, Alex Mesnage of Athens, AL, Amanda Campbell (Lenny) of Grant City, Ashley Gruber of Iberia, Travis Mesnage of Millington, TN, Anna Gruber, Alexis Gruber, Matthew Gruber and Michael Gruber all of Iberia; four great-grandchildren, Jasmine Mesnage, Brysen Mesnage, Kara Reeves, and Kaylen Gloria Campbell; three siblings, Dorothy Ortega, Roy Espinosa, and Frankie Espinosa all of California; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends including Robin Suruggs of North Carolina and Teresa Reeves of Slater, who were very dear friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son, Melvin Hyde Jr., grandson, Dusty Reeves, and four siblings, Bell Gutierrez, Angie Robles, Ralph Espinosa, and Raymond Espinosa.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., with a memorial service immediately following at 11 a.m., on Saturday, April 3, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
