Obituary

Harold D. Cochran, age 88, of Iberia, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022.  He was born in Miller County on May 26, 1934, son of the late Willard and Eula Fern (Moneymaker) Cochran.  On April 19, 1979, at Union Church in Decaturville, Harold was united in marriage to Betty Ruth Leffert, who survives at their home.

Harold was employed as a driver for Dam Ready Mix and a bus driver at Iberia R-V School for many years.  He enjoyed horseback riding and playing music, especially at nursing homes and churches.

In addition to his loving wife, Betty Cochran, he is also survived by four stepchildren; two cherished grandchildren, Amber Russell and Jason Russell (Josie); great-grandchildren; special nieces and nephews, Sue and Lawrence Lee, Doris and Steve Webster, and Glenda and Gary Lee; other nieces, nephews, family, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death his parents, daughter, Kemberley Meyer; sister, Reba Sanning; two brothers, Farris and Estel Cochran; baby sister, Shirley Cochran; and infant grandson, John David Russell.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon), with services immediately following at 12 p.m. (noon), on Saturday, July 9, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Bro. Rodney Jennings officiating.  Interment will be held in Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley.
