Harriett Faye Hopkins, age 86, of Iberia, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022, at Rock Island Village in Eldon.  She was born in Ash Grove on January 1, 1936, daughter of the late Harry and Bernice (Thomas) West.  On August 18, 1963, in Ash Grove, Harriett was united in marriage to Robert Morris Hopkins, who preceded her in death on April 22, 2019.

Harriett had a rewarding career as a teacher, touching many lives throughout her 31 years in public education.  She taught at various schools and ended her career at Iberia R-V before retiring.  In her spare time, she took pleasure in knitting and sewing.  She loved animals, especially her beloved cats and dogs.  Harriett loved traveling the world with her husband Robert, visiting 11 countries throughout their 55 years of marriage.

She is survived by her nieces, Becky Moore and Sara Dyuran; nephews, Greg Windham and Steve Windham; Scott (Mandy) Farnham, who she loved as a son; and numerous family and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Laurabeth Windham and niece, Lorinda Renner.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., with services immediately following at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Homes in Iberia with Bro. Chip Sanders officiating.  A private interment will be held in Iberia Cemetery.
