Hazel Mae Tabor, age 85, of Iberia, died Saturday, May 20, 2006, at Osage Beach Health Care Center. She was born in Camden County on September 27, 1920, daughter of Milton and Lena (Bartlett) Traw. On August 4, 1946, in Stoutland, she was married to Glen Ersal Tabor, who preceded her in death on August 10, 1989.
She taught school for many years. She started her career with the Stoutland School District and retired from the Iberia School District in 1982. She spent her remaining years raising grandchildren and working on her farm. She was a member of Glover Chapel Church of Christ. She will be missed by all.
Survivors include four sons, Tommy Tabor of Richland, Ted Tabor of Iberia, Tim Tabor of Lake Ozark, and Terry Tabor of Iberia; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Her parents and an infant brother, Paul Traw, also preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 23, at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Ralph Pitts will officiate. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Iberia.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
