Heather Renae (Shelton) Rodriguez, age 43, of Iberia, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at University Hospital in Columbia. She was born in Houston, MO, on April 16, 1981, daughter of Roger and Linda Lee (Dieterle) Shelton. On July 27, 2024, Heather was united in marriage to Jesse Charles Rodriguez, who survives at their home.
Heather was employed at Walmart in Osage Beach as a service desk associate for over 24 years, creating countless friendships throughout her career. Her family and friends will cherish their memories of Heather and will remember her generous and nurturing heart. Heather was always willing to help others and made everyone feel welcome and loved. Because of her, holidays at Granny's house were always a joyful experience for the family, especially the kids. She took pleasure in supporting the Special Olympics by participating in the Polar Plunge. Her warmth and kindness will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was a devoted Christian and attended Walk on Water Church in Osage Beach. Throughout her journey with cancer, Heather's faith never wavered, and she would always say "God has this, God is Good".
In addition to her husband, Jesse Rodriguez, she is also survived by her mother, Linda Shelton; son, Carson (Aubrie) Moulder; daughter, Michelle (Cale) Alexander; grandson, Cohen Alexander; 10 siblings, Tommy Shelton, Dean Smith, Ronda (Jeff) Seel, David (Jill) Smith, Tracey Shelton, Dawn (Dan) Nye, Stacy Shelton, Randy (Debbie) Shelton, Teresa (George) Kruhm, and Justin (Jessica) Shelton; step-sister, Tammy Hadaway Sheppard; and a host of nieces and nephews, who she loved like her own and enjoyed making memories with.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roger Shelton and sister-in-law, Kelly Shelton.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 (noon), with services immediately following at 12 (noon), on Monday, September 16, 2024, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Larry Ollison officiating. Interment will be held in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Iberia.
