Helen (Skaggs) Colvin, age 86, of Iberia passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at Arrowhead Senior Living Community in Osage Beach. She was born in Iberia on February 7, 1933, daughter of the late Walter Freeman and Dorothy Mae (Crews) Skaggs. On November 19, 1951, in Tuscumbia, Helen married Dallas C. Colvin, who preceded her in death on July 20, 2016.

Helen was an active member in her community and was involved in many organizations including the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion and was a member of the Iberia Eastern Star for over 60 years. She served as treasurer on the Union Cemetery Board and was a member of the Congregational Christian Church in Iberia, where she served many years as secretary.

She worked at MFA Exchange Store for many years and was later employed at Bank of Iberia for 25 years. Helen enjoyed spending time at the Lake with her husband and family.

She is survived by one son, Donald Colvin and Tina Barton; one daughter, Janet Keeth and husband Tony; one grandson, Ty Keeth all of Iberia; and several nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with Eastern Star service beginning at 1 p.m. followed immediately with the funeral ceremony, on Saturday, December 7, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Bro. Stan Way officiating. Interment will be held at Union Cemetery near Iberia.
