Herb Ash, age 77, of Brumley, died Monday, September 22, 2008, at Lake Ozark Retirement Center. He was born in Brumley on October 23, 1930, son of Otto and Cretia Bertha (Robinett) Ash. On March 25, 1957, in Brumley, he was married to Lucy Lorene Brown, who survives at the home.
He attended Rodden Church of Christ near Brumley.
Other survivors include five sons, Ronnie Ash and wife Tammy, J.R. Ash and wife Marsha, Mick Ash, Thomas Ash, and Timmy Ash all of Brumley; two daughters, Susie Guehrer and husband Gerold of Richland, and Dena Bowman and husband Jim of Brumley; one brother, Leman Ash of Iberia; two sisters, Loudean Brown of Brumley, and Offie DeClue of Iberia; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; one sister; and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be from 12 noon until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24, at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Brian Duncan officiating. Interment will be in Robinett Cemetery near Brumley.
