Hirsty P. "Rick" Ricker, age 80, of Meta, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2013, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City. He was born in Maries County on August 19, 1932, son of the late James Henry and Ruby Mildred (McKee) Ricker. On December 14, 1991, in Pulaski County, Rick married Sharon Kay Ponder, who survives at the home.
Rick was employed with the Iron Workers Local Union 396 for over 38 years. He was a member of Campground Christian Church in Meta.
He is also survived by one son, Philip Ricker of Holts Summit; one stepson, Ricky Baker of Iberia; two stepdaughters, Anita Mitchell of Eldon and Denine Bremer of Dixon; two sisters, Janice Wenzel and Ramona Ricker both of Meta; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, at Southside Cemetery in Meta. Bro. Manuel Seaton will officiate.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to Campground Christian Church or Southside Cemetery.
