Horst U. Jensen, age 73, of Richland, passed away Friday, February 18, 2011, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield. He was born in Hanburg, Germany, on November 30, 1937, son of the late Frederick and Elsa (Thiede) Jensen.
Horst was born in Germany and came to the United States as a child with his mother. He later worked assembling computers in Plymouth, Michigan.
He is survived by three sons, Mark Jensen of the state of Washington, Kevin Jensen of Michigan, and Troy Atteberry; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Al Jensen.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., on Wednesday, February 23, 2011, in Union Cemetery near Iberia. Rev. Roy Gilkey will officiate.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Union Cemetery.
