Icel Dean Plemmons, age 93, of Iberia, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach.  She was born in Miller County on October 28, 1927, daughter of the late Edward and Ella (Pemberton) Keeth.  On February 24, 1947, in Brumley, Icel was united in marriage to Russell Wayne Plemmons, who preceded her in death on December 14, 2005.

Mrs. Plemmons retired from a long career at Stanton Manufacturing Company in Lake Ozark.  She was a loving mother and grandmother and cherished taking care of family and friends. She enjoyed having her family, friends, and neighbors to her home for Sunday dinners and always enjoyed having family stop by her house for a visit.  She was a faithful member of Mt. Union Church of Christ in Brumley.

She is survived by five sons, Gary Plemmons (Patti Anderson), Jerry Plemmons (Joyce), Russell Plemmons (Ruby), Roger Plemmons (Coleen), all of Iberia and Rick Plemmons (Stephanie) of Dixon; two daughters, Rhoda Byrd of Iberia and Trudy Ash of Eldon; sister, Inis Kissinger of Crocker; sister-in-law, Janice Beard of Iberia; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Willie Byrd Jr. and Jody Ash; daughter-in-law, Debra Plemmons, and one brother, Orville Keeth.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., with services immediately following at 11 a.m., on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Brandon Kissinger officiating.  Interment will be held in Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley.
