Jack Workman Sr., age 80, of Ulman, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at his home. He was born in St. Louis on October 26, 1935, son of the late Raymond and Flossie (Crum) Workman. On January 8, 1955, in Valley Park, Jackie married Margaret Evelyn Helton, who preceded him in death on June 19, 2014.
Jack served in the United States Army from 1958 until his honorable discharge in 1960. He was a member of Curry Community Church near Ulman.
He is survived by two children, Jackie R. Workman Jr. and wife Twila of Brumley and Peggy Czebely and husband Bill of Linn Creek; five grandchildren, Brandon Workman, Lacey Workman, Raymond Sechrest, Peggy Sue and Ashley Czebely; two brothers, Leroy Workman and wife Loretta of Fenton and Norman Green and wife Edna of Perryville; and one sister, Janet Helton of Dixon.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., with a memorial service immediately following at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Ernie Miller will officiate. Interment will be held at a later date in Hawkins Cemetery in Brumley.
