Obituary

Jacqueline "Jackie" Lee Davenport, age 58, of Iberia, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born in in Waynesville, on May 20, 1966, daughter of Robert Paul and Pansy Marie (Crisp) Rickerson.  On September 28, 1984, Jackie was united in marriage to Jeffrey Ray Davenport, who survives at their home.

Most recently residing in Iberia, Jackie was a beloved figure in her community, known for her unwavering kindness and her willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need.  Jackie's love for family was evident in everything she did.  She cherished spending time with her children and found immense joy in the laughter and antics of her grandchildren.

She was an active member of Hilltop Christian Union Church.  Jackie found solace and community in her faith.  She enjoyed participating in church functions and often took peaceful walks at HaHa Tonka, a favorite place of hers.  Her gentle spirit and nurturing nature left a lasting impression on all who knew her.  Her legacy of kindness and love will continue to resonate through her family and friends.

In addition to her loving husband of 40 years, Jeffrey Ray Davenport Sr.,  she is also survived by her son, Jeffrey Ray (Jessica) Davenport Jr.; daughter, Candra Danelle (CJ) LaBrot; four grandchildren, Austin Davenport, Asha Michel, Haigen LaBrot, and Haiven LaBrot; siblings, Robert (Noemi) Rickerson, Teresa Brackett, Roberta Greer, Angela (Billy) Medlen, and Robin (Bret Sr.) Powell; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Donna Holt and Gloria Blanten.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with services immediately following at 11 a.m., on Friday, January 17, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Bro. Freddie Earp officiating.  Interment will be held in Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley.
