James "Jimmy" Edward Russell, age 70, of Crocker, departed this life on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia. He was born in Tuscumbia, on December 27, 1950, son of the late Farris and Ruby Lea (Forbis) Russell. On November 9, 1970, in Maries County, Jimmy was united in marriage to Katherine Louise Clark, who survives at their home.

James honorably served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam.

In addition to his wife, Katherine Russell, he is also survived by two children, Linda (Scikoh) Hokama of Japan and James David (Melanie) Russell of St. James; two grandchildren, Alex Lively and Brianna Russell; three great-grandchildren, Kairi Anderson, Zacharia Webber, and Chloe Webber; five siblings, Bill (Mary) Russell, Bob (Lou) Russell, Tom (Sharon) Russell, John Russell, and Debby Hutt; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Lea Ana Woolery and nephew, John Steven Surface.

James' wishes were to be cremated and no services are planned at this time.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
