James H. Moss, age 84, of Iberia, departed this earthly life on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at his home.  He was born in Iberia on November 27, 1937, son of the late Walter and Alice (Prater) Moss.

James graduated from Iberia High School in 1956 earning a high school diploma.  James proudly served his country in the United States Army from December 8, 1960, to December 7, 1962.

On November 7, 1998, in Iberia, James married Karen Keeth.  James enjoyed the outdoors working woodworks, gardening with the love of his life, working on his tractors, fishing, frog gigging in his pond, and cutting firewood. Most of all, James enjoyed his grandchildren and his great grandboys and his family and friends.  He was a member of the Jimmy Swaggart Media Church.

In addition to his wife, Karen Moss, he is also survived by one daughter, Valerie (Jerry) Quail of Eldon; step daughter, Shannon (Raymond) Counts of Crocker; two grandsons, Kevin Quail of Spring, Texas and Christopher (Kayla) Counts of Crocker; granddaughter, Beth (Caleb) Sharpensteen of Waynesville; three great-grandchildren, Preston Counts, Gunner Counts, and Elijah Sharpensteen all of Crocker; brother, John (Donna) Moss of Jefferson City and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his former wife, Barbara Moss and sister, Jane Swing.

A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
