Obituary
James V. Martin, age 34, of Jefferson City formerly of Iberia, died Tuesday, March 27, 2007. He was born in Sullivan on August 24, 1972, son of Vernon Castle Jr., and Melanie (Smith) Martin. His father preceded him in death. On August 2, 1997, in Osage Beach, he was married to Sherri Ann Jones, who survives.
Other survivors include his mother, Melanie Williams of Iberia; his paternal grandmother, Flossie Martin of Iberia; one daughter, Jordyn Martin of Jefferson City; one sister, Tracie Martin of Iberia; and four nieces and nephews, Stephanie Ruelas and Michael Ruelas Jr., both of Fenton, Dylan Jones of Iberia, and Ashlyn Muessig of Columbia.
His grandfather, Vernon Castle Martin Sr., also preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Services will follow at 1 p.m. with Bro. Stan Way officiating. Interment will be in Iberia Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
