James Lewis Wall, age 84, of Iberia, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. He was born in Miller County on December 30, 1928, son of the late Virgil and Beulah Ann (Hill) Wall. In 1952, in Harrison, Arkansas, Lewis married Helen May Pemberton, who preceded him in death on January 26, 2012.
Lewis served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Iberia United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge, and also the Miller County Historical Society in Tuscumbia.
He is survived by five children, Donna Sue Wall of Kaiser, Jim Wall of Eureka, Terry Gale Dotson of St. Charles, John Thomas Wall of Iberia, and Carol Jean Wall of Valley Park; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Alpha Mae Sacco of Linn Creek and Clara Doris Brown of Versailles.
He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Seth Alley and one sister, Beulah Drace.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 29, in Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley. Pastor Michael Summers will officiate.
