Obituary

James Ray Wyrick, age 67, of Camdenton, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at his home. He was born in Kansas City, KS, on March 15, 1952, son of the late Donald Wayne and Alice Marietta (Wall) Wyrick. On June 25, 2011, in Linn Creek, James married Dana Zack, who survives at their home.

James enjoyed spending time outdoors doing yardwork and was a talented musician. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan and had a fascination with the Civil War era. He always loved seeing and spending time with his grandkids. James was a member of Walk on the Water Faith Church.

In addition to his loving wife, Dana Wyrick, he is also survived by five children, Chris Wyrick (Janie) of Jefferson City, Cindy Stegemann (Scott) of Jefferson City, Kylee Quintanilla (Ray) of Bryan, TX, Alison Mendoza (Paul) of Scottsdale, AZ, and Dylan Wyrick (Kelsey) of Salem; two stepchildren, Kari Oster and Marianne Holtz; ten grandchildren, Emma, Erin, Sam, Cody, Alexa, Jacob, Ella, Paul Frank, Connor, and Grace; four step-grandchildren, Luke, Makenna, Ryan, and Kael; seven siblings, June Isenberg (Jim) of Jefferson City, Carol Wyrick (Waldo Rowles) of Booneville, Mary Loesch (David) of Lee Summit, Mike Wyrick (Angela) of Jefferson City; Patti Bowers of Jefferson City, Sherri Schanzmeyer of Jefferson City, and Nancy Abernathy (Matthew) of California; and several nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Alice Wyrick; nephew, Jonathan Meyer; and niece, Sarah Schmoll.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with service immediately following at 1 p.m., on Saturday, August 31, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Mark Brandt officiating. Interment will be held in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Tuscumbia.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Miller County Historical Society or Mt. Zion Cemetery.
