Jane Marie Lindenbusch, age 73, of St. Elizabeth, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. She was born in Tuscumbia on March 18, 1949, daughter of the late Anton Frank and Flora Ann (Boessen) Kirkweg. On October 10, 1970, at St. Thomas the Apostle the Catholic Church, Jane was united in marriage to Daniel Lindenbusch, who survives at their home.
Jane had a genuine spirit and a gentle nature. She lived most of her life in St. Thomas where she had a rewarding career as a homemaker and also worked for the Missouri Department of Revenue.
As a devout Catholic, Jane taught CCD for many years at St. Thomas Catholic Church and was employed as secretary at St. Thomas Catholic School in the mid-nineties. She was a past member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and after moving to St. Elizabeth she became a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
Quilting was a favorite pastime for Jane, creating countless treasured pieces throughout her life. She was a member of the St. Elizabeth and St. Thomas Quilting Club. Jane was a loving mother, grandmother, and wife, who always welcomed the company of family and friends.
In addition to her husband, Dan Lindenbusch, she is also survived by three children, Susanne (Andy) Fleetwood of St. Thomas, Amy Lindenbusch of Ballwin, and Marc (Andrea) Lindenbusch of Ashland; 10 grandchildren, Jordan, Alec, Cole, Ashlyn, Zachary, Hannah, Aubrey, Aiden, Mia, and Ava; brother, Virgil (Sharon) Kirkweg; two sisters, Cecelia (Leander) Heckman and Bernice Kirkweg; aunt, Sister Anne Boessen; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, February 15, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in St. Thomas with Fr. Leonard Mukiibi officiating. Interment will be held in St. Thomas Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic School.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in St. Elizabeth.
