Jared Ross Witt, age 23, of Iberia, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2011. He was born in Jefferson City on December 29, 1987, son of Gerald Dewayne and Margarete "Maggie" LeAnn (Colvin) Witt.

Jared was a 2006 graduate of Iberia R-V. He was employed at Witt Construction in Iberia and Lemans Go Carts at Lake Ozark. He enjoyed riding four wheelers, hunting, spending time outdoors, and especially spending time with his son, Easton. .

He is survived by his parents, Gerald and LeAnn Witt of Iberia; one son, Easton Ross Witt of Iberia; Easton's mother, Meagan Tomlinson of Iberia; one brother, Bradley Witt of Iberia; one sister, Geneva Parkhurst of Union; paternal grandparents, Jerry and Geneva Witt of Iberia; maternal grandfather, Gary Colvin of Iberia; maternal great-grandmother, Ruby Stark of Brumley; brother-in-law, Curtis Jahr and his wife Gabby of Holts Summit; and special niece and nephews, Noah Jahr, Carly Jahr, Eli Jahr, and Carson Witt.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Patricia Colvin.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with services immediately following at 1 p.m., on Thursday, September 8, 2011, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Interment will be in Mt. Union Cemetery in Brumley.
