Jean L. Grady, age 75, of Iberia, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, at her home. She was born in St. Louis, on March 2, 1950, daughter of the late Eugene and LeeVon (Pyle) Mayberry. On September 7, 2019, in Iberia, Jean was united in marriage to John Walter Grady, who survives at their home.
Jean was a faithful Christian and a member of the Iberia Community Club. She took great pride in being Nana to her grandchildren who were her greatest joys in life. Jean always looked forward to family get-togethers and holidays, cherishing the time spent with loved ones and creating lasting memories. Her kind heart and loving spirit made these occasions truly special for everyone who attended, especially during her created holiday “Huntgiving”.
In addition to her husband, John Grady, she is also survived by her children, Christopher (Carrie) Slama of High Ridge, Angela Marie (Patrick) Rogers of Columbia, and Angela Marie (Charles) Dailey of Granite City, Illinois; grandchildren, Alexandria Rogers, Jordan Rogers, Clarice Slama, Zachary (Abbie) Dailey, Cody Dailey, and Grant Dailey; two great-grandchildren, Rose Dailey and Ginnie Dailey; brother and sisters-in-law, Ida (Dennis) Morris, Billy (Victoria) Grady, and Steven (Denise) Grady; mother-in-law, Rose Mary Grady; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., with a Memorial Service immediately following at 11 a.m., on Saturday, February 28, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Denny Morris officiating.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
