Jeanne Harrison, age 78, of St. Elizabeth, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at the St. Elizabeth Care Center. She was born in St. Louis on October 16, 1929, daughter of Harry and Viola (Jones) Anderson. In May 1951, in Springfield, Illinois, she was married to Tom Karaianis, who preceded her in death in October 1990. On November 10, 1970, in Quincy, Illinois, she was married to Frank Harrison, who preceded her in death on November 2, 1997.

She was a founding member of St. Elizabeth First Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher. She loved growing flowers, painting, and her dog, Ginger.

Survivors include two sons, John T. Karaianis of Taylorville, Illinois, and Tom E. Karaianis and wife Kathy of Springfield, Illinois; one daughter, Mitzi Amos of Eldon; two sisters, Brenda DePuy of Manassas, Virginia, and Angie Anderson of Jefferson City; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Bill Anderson.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, May 15, at Rekus Funeral Home in St. Elizabeth. Services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
