Jerry Wayne Cox, age 55, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach.  He was born in Kansas City, on November 12, 1966, son of the late Jesse Wayne and Betty Lou (Nickens) Cox.  On July 1, 1995, in Tuscumbia, Jerry was united in marriage to Angela Stevens, who survives at their home.

Jerry was a loyal friend to many and never knew a stranger. He had a distinct voice, and a presence that would light up any room he entered.  He loved grilling and took pleasure in feeding others.  In addition to being an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, Jerry enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing with his sons, who were his pride and joy.  Jerry had an unconditional love for his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his loving wife, Angela Cox, he is also survived by four sons, Jesse (LeAnn) Cox, James (Samantha) Cox, Jake Cox, and Josh (fiancée Sarah Heckemeyer) Cox; five grandchildren; three sisters, Carol, Betty, and Linda; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jozee Cox.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with services immediately following at 1 p.m., on Friday, October 21, 2022, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.  Interment will be held in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Tuscumbia.
