Jerry Wayne Gladden, age 66, of Iberia, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2015, at St. Joseph's Bluff in Jefferson City. He was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon, on July 25, 1949, son of the late Burle Lee and Ada Kathryn (Keeble) Gladden.
Jerry Wayne was a lifelong resident of Miller County. He attended Rabbit Head School and graduated from Iberia High School in 1966. Jerry Wayne served in the Army during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged on January 30, 1971.
Jerry Wayne enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. He was employed as a construction laborer in Missouri and other states.
He is survived by one son, Ronnie Gladden and wife Connie of Iberia; two sisters, Wanda Sanderson and Mary Kay Sutton and husband Lester both of Iberia; three brothers, John Gladden and wife Donna, Robert Gladden and Flo Foster, and Steve Gladden and wife Sherrie all of Iberia; and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 18, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Dennis Nichols will officiate. Interment with military honors will be in Iberia Cemetery.
Visitation will held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, at the funeral home.
