Jerry A. Wright, age 60, of Iberia, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City. He was born in Iberia on January 4, 1949, son of the late Arthur William and Freda Jeanette (Plemmons) Wright. On August 14, 1971, at Hickory Point Baptist Church in Iberia, Jerry married Sandra Lee Smith, who survives at the home.

Jerry worked in the G.M. Automotive Industry for many years until his retirement. He served on the Iberia School Board for 13 years and was involved in many activities in the community including various sports and school activities. Jerry was a member of the Mt. Union Church of Christ.

He is also survived by three sons, William Wright and wife Amy of High Point, Zachary Wright and wife Stephanie of Loose Creek, and Quentin Wright and wife Megan; one granddaughter, Kamdyn Wright; one grandson, Emmett Wright; and many relatives and friends.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 4, 2009, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Ryan Stiffler will officiate. Interment will be in the Iberia Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, at the funeral home.
