Jesse A. Law, age 83, of Belton, Missouri, passed away Friday, July 23, 2010 at Select Specialty Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born in Miller County on September 17, 1926, son of the late Author and Martha (Bilyue) Law.
Jesse was a U.S. Army Veteran, a Kansas City Missouri Firefighter for over 25 years retiring in 1975, and he also retired from Johnson County Executive Airport after working there for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lura P. (Shelton) Law; son and daughter in law, Eddie J. and Betty J. Law; daughter and son in law, Leanne and Butch Ball; grandson, Adam, Patrick and Melanie; sister, Eleanor Bond; brother, Raymond Law and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Author and Martha; infant son, Jerry Blane, three brothers, Edward, Robert and Fredrick and sister, Fannie Hannah
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. on Monday, July 26, at Hickman Mills Church of Christ with visitation from 5-7 PM. Services will also be held 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 27, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Interment will be in Hickory Point Cemetery near Iberia.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
