Jessica Renee Imperato, age 47, of Iberia, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at her home.  She was born on August 11, 1978, daughter of Bobby D. and Debra (Vandiver) Gilliland.  On April 20, 2024, Jess was united in marriage to Joey Imperato, who survives at their home.

Known to her family and friends as Jess, she had a loving heart and an adventurous spirit that touched everyone she met.  She had a passion for fitness and spending time outdoors camping, hiking and taking side by side trail rides. Jess cherished the moments she spent with loved ones and the countless memories made along the way.

Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life, bringing her comfort and strength in times of trouble. Jess found comfort in her Lord and Savior and shared that devotion with others as a past youth leader at Osage Hills.  She was employed at Lake Regional Health System for 15 years and later worked in the Lake area as an insurance agent.

In addition to her husband, Joey Imperato, she is also survived by her son Cade Lane, daughter, Tatum Hulett; mother, Deb Gilliland; beloved former in-laws, Melanie and Stanton Lane; stepdaughters, Izzy Imperato and Gabby Imperato; siblings, Stephanie Andrew, Travis Gilliand, Stacey Milligan; her beloved canine companion, Clara Bow; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Dean Gilliland and half-brother, Jason Gilliland.

A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
