Jessica Dawn (Perkins) Whittle, age 44, of Iberia, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at University of Missouri in Columbia. She was born in Tuscumbia on April 13, 1974, daughter of Herbert Ray and Sydney Sue (Sherrell) Perkins. On October 24, 1998, in Iberia, Jessica married Shawn Whittle, who survives at their home.

Jessica was a 1992 graduate of Iberia R-V. After graduation, Jessica earned her degree at Lake University of Cosmetology and went on to own and operate Jess's Hair Depot in Iberia for 20 years.

She was involved in various organizations, including 4-H, Band Boosters, secretary of MU Extension, treasurer of Brays Cemetery, and was also very active in the Iberia FFA serving on the advisory committee.  She enjoyed farming especially raising their sheep.

Jessica was a faithful member of the Iberia First Christian Church, where she assisted with the Church Youth Group. Jessica was blessed with nineteen wonderful years of marriage to her husband, Shawn, and together they raised two boys, Klayton and Elliot, who were her pride and joy.

In addition to her husband, Shawn, she is also survived by two sons, Klayton and Elliot Whittle of the home; her father, Herbert Perkins and wife Elaine of Iberia; one brother, Timothy Perkins and wife Shyla of Iberia; one sister, Jennifer Pemberton and husband Daniel of Iberia; her father and mother-in-law, Mike and Beth Whittle of Iberia; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Sydney Perkins and her infant son, Michael Whittle.

Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 21, at the Iberia First Christian Church with Bro. Stan Way and Bro. William Thompson officiating. Interment will be held in Brays Cemetery near Iberia.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, at the Iberia First Christian Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Jessica Whittle Memorial Fund.
