Jessie Dean Lam, age 90, of Iberia, passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2020, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia. She was born in Dixon on June 16, 1930, daughter of the late Jesse and Dora (Davis) Weeks. Jessie was united in marriage to Donald Bryan Perkins on August 22, 1946, who preceded her in death. She later married, Larry Lam, in 1985 who also preceded her in death.

Jessie was a member of the Iberia First Christian Church.

She is survived by two sons, Herb Perkins and wife Elaine of Iberia and Dean Perkins of Laquey; three grandchildren, Tim Perkins (Shyla) of Iberia, Jennifer Pemberton (Daniel) of Iberia, and Tracy Perkins; grandson-in-law, Shawn Whittle; great-grandchildren, Klayton Whittle, Elliot Whittle, Adeline Perkins, Gus Perkins, Claira Perkins, Chesni Pemberton, Drace Pemberton, Cody Fry, Caleb Slone, Craig Koehn, Audrie Gann, and Alexis Gann; and numerous family and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Sydney Perkins, granddaughter, Jessica Whittle, grandson, Travis Perkins; and great-grandson, Michael Whittle.

Visitation will be held from 12 (noon) to 1 p.m., with services immediately following at 1 p.m., on Tuesday, November 10, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Stan Way officiating. Interment will be held in Seaton Cemetery near Dixon.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Miller County Nursing Home.
