Jim F. Frisbie, age 72, of Olean, died Friday, April 13, 2007, at St. Marys Health Center. He was born in Versailles on December 14, 1935, a son of Joshua S. and Mildred F. (Yarnell) Frisbie. His mother survives in Versailles. On August 24, 1963 at Dripping Spring Christian Church in Columbia he was married to Betty Lou Love, who survives at the home.
Jim was a member of the First Baptist Church in Eldon. He was a Sunday school teacher, door greeter and loved singing in the church choir. He enjoyed spending time with his family and being outdoors fishing and deer and turkey hunting. He was a volunteer fireman and also served in the United States Army Reserve.
Others who survive him include: Four children, Michael F. Frisbie and wife Bobbi of Otterville, James (Pat) Frisbie and wife Heather of Topeka, Kansas, Cindy L. King of Eldon and Mary K. Frisbie of Fulton; 10 grandchildren, Michael, Alyssia and Victoria Frisbie, Madison, Jacob and Connor Frisbie, Ryan and Jacob Coleman, Brendan Bohrn and Bradley King; two sisters, Mary Lee Frisbie of Versailles and Sue Miesner of Stover and one aunt, Juanita Yarnell of Versailles.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 16, at First Baptist Church of Eldon. Rev. Randall Bunch will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Eldon.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday at Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon.
