Jimmy G. Parkison, age 57, of Iberia, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2010, at his home. He was born on November 2, 1952, son of James Walter and Jean (Simpson) Parkison.

Jimmy was a very charitable individual who enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family.

He is survived by four children, Jason Parkison of Waynesville, Doug Parkison of Phoenix, Arizona, Amy Durham and husband Scott of Iberia, and Jon Parkison of Sunrise Beach; nine grandchildren; three sisters, Kathy O'Connor of San Diego, California, Lisa Graham and husband Lance of Ulman, and Kimberly Touissant and husband Patrick of Las Vegas, Nevada; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with services immediately following at 2 p.m., on Saturday, November 6, 2010, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Rev. Greg McClain will officiate.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Jimmy Parkison Memorial Fund.
