JoAnn Pierce, age 91, of Jefferson City, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Oak Tree Villa in Jefferson City.  She was born in Darlington, on September 17, 1932, daughter of the late Marvin and Ethel (Hathaway) Miller.  On September 14, 1951, JoAnn was united in marriage to Bob L. Pierce, who preceded her in death on December 14, 2020.

JoAnn worked alongside her husband at Jameson Permit Service for several years before working at the Department of Revenue.  She had a great love for God and enjoyed being involved with various church groups.

She is survived by one son, Randy Pierce (Kathy) of Jefferson City; one daughter, Vicki Mote (Sherrill) of Iberia; three grandchildren: Gabe Pierce (Blair), Josiah Mote (Penny) Isaac Mote (Hannah); and five great grandchildren: Logan Pierce, Marki Pierce, Gabriella Pierce, Maggie Mote and Crosby Mote; two siblings, Marilyn McMillen and Max Miller; and numerous family members and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., with a Memorial Service immediately following at 11 a.m., on Friday, July 26, at First Church of God, 1614 Southwest Blvd., Jefferson City, Missouri.  A luncheon will follow the service.  Final entombment at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
