Obituary
John Barr, age 52, of Cape Girardeau, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016, at St. Louis University Hospital. He was born in St. Charles on February 12, 1964, son of the late Kirsting and Rosalie (Aust) Barr.
John graduated from Truman University with a major in photography and minor in criminal justice. After college he worked as a photographer at Federated Auto Parts Racetrack, where he received his nickname Trashdog. John will be missed by the racing community and his family.
He is survived by his wife, Yurong Li Barr; two children, Amanda Briley and James Barr both of Marshfield; one stepchild, Jingyou Yu of Homosassa; and one sister, Trudy Barr and husband Richard Novasak of Overland Park, Kansas.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 17, at Hickory Point Cemetery near Iberia. Bro. Marshall Conklin will officiate.
