John E. "Duffey" Wieberg, age 61, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016, at his home. He was born in St. Anthony on November 14, 1955, son of Lenus and Rosemary (Bock) Wieberg.

John worked at Rush Trucking and Duncan Construction for many years. He enjoyed being outdoors tending to the animals on his farm and spending time with his family. He was a big fan of the American Country music singer, Jerry Reed.

John's family recalls his love for taking pictures with his polaroid camera and his words of wisdom he gave to his loved ones. He enjoyed participating in truck pulls with his truck "Rat Fever". John was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.

He is survived by his mother, Rosemary Wieberg of St. Anthony; five brothers, Stanley Wieberg and wife Sandra of St. Anthony, Walter Wieberg and wife Linda of St. Anthony, Larry "Cotton" Wieberg and wife Peggy of St. Anthony, Leroy Wieberg of St. Anthony; and Daniel Wieberg and wife Laila of Murrieta, CA; three sisters, Leona Young and husband John of Pilot Grove, Patricia Edelen of Ashland, and Janice Brand and husband Gary of St. Anthony; 21 nieces and nephews, and 40 great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lenus Wieberg; infant brother, David Wieberg; grandparents, Alois and Elizabeth Bock and Herman and Catherine Wieberg; and one nephew and godson, Lance Young.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 11 a.m., on Friday, December 16, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in St. Anthony. Fr. Joby Thomas will officiate. Interment will be held in St. Anthony Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Rusk Rehabilitation Center at University of Missouri Hospital or to St. Anthony Cemetery.
