John William English, age 73, of St. Elizabeth, died Sunday, January 28, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Care Center. He was born in Akron, Ohio, on April 11, 1933, son of Henry and Lucille (Driver) English, both deceased. He was married in Ensenada, Mexico, to Lois Jean Grudt, who survives at the home.
He owned and operated JAGE Enterprises, which machined aircraft parts, in Los Angeles, California, from 1977 until 1995 when he and his wife retired to the St. Elizabeth area.
Other survivors include one daughter, Sara Walker of Albuquerque, New Mexico; two sons, James English of Los Angeles, California, and Daniel English of St. Elizabeth; and other family and friends.
The body will be cremated under the direction of Rekus Funeral Home in St. Elizabeth.
Private family burial will be at a later date at Diamond Grove Cemetery in Jacksonville, Illinois.
