John Lester Lawson Jr., age 66, of Brumley, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach.  He was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma, on July 22, 1955, son of the late John Lester Lawson Sr. and Clora Joan (Keller) Lawson.  On October 28, 1972, John was united in marriage to Kathy Ann Robinett, who survives at their home.

John worked as an over the road truck driver for over 30 years.  He enjoyed the outdoors, and his favorite hobbies were fishing and duck hunting.

In addition to his loving wife, Kathy Lawson, he is also survived by his daughter, Monica Leann (Lawson) Davis and husband D.J.; granddaughter, Brenna RuthAnn Davis; brother, James Leroy Lawson and wife Sherri; canine companion, Bella Jane; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Elvis Stanley Lawson.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., with services immediately following at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, August 31, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Bro. Dennis Nichols officiating.  Interment will be held in Robinett Cemetery near Brumley.
