John Charles McDonald, age 67, of Weldon Spring, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Barnes St. Peters Hospital.  He was born in St. Louis, on September 11, 1958, son of the late Charles Freddie and Anna Ruth (Shelton) McDonald.

He is survived by his sons, Christopher (Estefania) McDonald and William McDonald; grandchildren, Christian, Damon, Leo, and Olivia; brother, James (Dianna) McDonald; sister, Joan (Brian) Wright; two nieces, Jessica (Kevin) Rettle and Jeanne (Nick) Guenther; and a host of great-nieces and nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Anna McDonald, and two brothers, Ronald McDonald and Joseph McDonald.

He was a software engineer for Mastercard, where he dedicated many years maintaining technology solutions that supported the company's global payment systems.   John had a passion for the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, and spending time at his family farm creating cherished memories that will be fondly remembered by those closest to him.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 12, at Iberia Cemetery with his brother, James McDonald, officiating.
