Johnny Rayford Keeth, age 71, of Iberia, died at his home on Sunday, November 8, 2020. He was born in Iberia on January 7, 1949, son of the late Olie and Leona (Osborn) Keeth. On August 27, 1971, in Iberia, Johnny was united in marriage to Cathy Wall, who survives at their home.

Johnny honorably served in the United States Army from June 17, 1968 until his discharge on May 6, 1970. He was a member of the Iberia VFW Post 6167.

Before retiring in January of 2014, Johnny was a mechanic at Fort Leonard Wood for 30 years. Johnny never met a stranger; he was ready to visit with anyone. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and attending his grandchildren and great-grandchildren's sporting events. Johnny was a self-taught mechanic, he enjoyed working on his street rods and going to car shows. He was a faithful member of Hickory Point Baptist Church near Iberia.

In addition to his loving wife, Cathy Keeth, he is also survived by two daughters, Sherry Wilson (Ivory) and Angela Humphrey (Scott) both of Iberia; five grandchildren, Jaicee Schrimpf (Michael), Ericka Cox (Jake), Hayden Humphrey, Haylee Humphrey, and Holten Humphrey; three great-grandchildren, Beckem Schrimpf, Maddix Schrimpf, and Judd Cox; mother-in-law, Sue Wall; sister, Nancy Baker (Dean); brother, Earl Gene Whittle; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Olie and Leona Keeth; father-in-law, Estal Wall; and great-granddaughter, Jozee Brooke Cox.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 (noon), with services immediately following at 12 (noon), on Thursday, November 12, 2020, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Bro. Dennis Nichols officiating. Interment with military honors will be held at Hickory Point Cemetery near Iberia.

Facial masks and social distancing are encouraged for those attending the visitation and service.
