Joseph "Joe" Arlie Bax, age 60, of Swedeborg, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at Ozark Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Osage Beach.  He was born in Tuscumbia on December 4, 1960, son of the late William Bax Sr. and Bonnie (Bilyeu) Bax.   On July 16, 1978, in Hamilton, MO, Joe was united in marriage to Connie Archuleta, who survives at the home.

Joe worked various jobs including working cattle and helping his nephews with construction.  Joe was the type of person to always help someone in need.  He loved spending time outdoors, fishing, and hunting. He enjoyed working on automobiles and had a knack of growing pumpkins.  He was a member of St. Cornelius in Crocker.

In addition to his wife, Connie Bax of Lamar, Colorado; he is also survived by his son, Chad Bax of Deer Trail, Colorado; six siblings, Leon Moore of Moscow Hills, Harold Brockes of St. Thomas, Kathy Lepper of Eldon, Pam Bax of Eldon, Denise York of Crocker, and Arlene Ghumm of Waynesville; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, William Frank Bax Jr. and Leroy Brockes and two sisters, Patsy Visser and Karen McPeak.

A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
