Joseph Forbes George IV, age 75, of O'Fallon, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia. He was born in Brumley, on February 12, 1942, son of the late Forbes and Hazel (Brown) George. In 1965 Joseph married Cheryl Ann Marler, who preceded him in death on June 12, 2015.

He is survived by his three children, Jim George and wife Pandora of Manchester, Teri Bonjour of Park Hills, and Billie George of St. Louis; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Lee and husband Jim of Iberia and Elaine Cleland of Marshfield; one brother, John George and wife Barbara of Illinois; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Parker.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m., with services immediately following at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, August 22, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Bro. Roy Bryant officiating. Interment will in Hawkins Cemetery near Brumley.
