Joseph Lemuel (J.L.) Strange passed on at his home November 30, 2008.
He was born on January 19, 1943 in Miller County. He graduated from School of the Osage in 1960. In 1967 J.L. was employed by Casino Pier, (Larry Don & Commander excursion boats), in Lake Ozark. He was a coast guard, licensed pilot and diesel engine mechanic. In 2003 he acquired and sold the business and continued to operate his small cattle farm. Just previous to his illness he was operating a tug boat for Atlantis Island.
He leaves behind a loving wife, Karen; three loving sons, Mike, Tim and Scott and two loving grandchildren, Emily and Luke.
The family wishes to thank all of his devoted friends and extended family who helped them and J.L. with his battle against Leukemia.
Honoring J.L.'s request, there will be no services. He will be missed by many.
