Obituary

Joyce Ann Beabout, age 64, of Iberia, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at Eldon Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born in Kansas City, Kansas, May 17, 1957, daughter of Leonard Gail Russell and Louisa (Luttrell) Russell. On January 17, 1981, in Brumley, Joyce was united in marriage to Mark Aaron Beabout, who survives at their home.

Joyce worked and co-owned Quality Electric with her husband, Mark, in which she took such great pride in. Joyce enjoyed many activities in life, including traveling the United States with her husband, Mark, she had seen most of the 50 states in her lifetime.

She loved co-owning The Cave Pumpkin Patch.  She met a lot of new people from different towns and states that came through the gate each and every year, and just seeing friends and family that she hadn't seen or talked to for days or even years.

Her greatest joys in life, were her husband, children, grandkids, and great-grandkids. They are what she lived for and loved the most.

In addition to her loving husband, Mark, she is also survived by her daughter, Victoria (Bobbie); son, Matthew (Jess); granddaughters, Arin Dake and Skyler Beabout; grandsons, Jackson Dake (Shelby) and Dylan Beabout; great-grandson, Lincoln Dake; great-granddaughter, Elaina Dake; mother, Louisa Russell; brothers, Eugene Russell (Carol), Rick Russell (Patti), Randy Russell (Toni), J.D Russell (Gail), and Gail Russell (Theresa); sister, Cathy Whittle; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Russell; sister, Geraldine Russell; and brother, Tad Russell.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Pastor Dennis Nichols officiating. Interment will be held at Mt. Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Mt. Union Cemetery.
